Life Book page of David and Dora Ruskin, both Holocaust Survivors during World War II.
Both arrived at New York's Ellis Island in June 1947. Background images are their United States naturalization
papers with foreground photos of the couple in their early years, after liberation. The Statue of Liberty photo
was actually taken by David on his first visit to Miss Liberty in 1955 with his two sons, Allen and Michael.
Life Books uses old photographs, and documents to honor families and the events which shaped their lives.
